Dialogue from Life #18
While at the downtown library, I am approached by a woman in Standard Crazy Person attire, smiling beatifically.
-----
Crazy Woman: [Approximately translated from The Crazy from memory] People measure behavior! We have happiness, sadness, and freedom! [Nods as if to say, "Yep!"]
Me: Lovely. [Gives strained, frightened smile and scurries away]

every crazy person story in the world is better than yours
Although they probably are - ha! That was my best one in a while though. Probably since a bus ride back in Halifax years ago. I sat next to a scary lady (although I didn't notice it at the time because I just look for an empty seat, not a desirable seatmate) who smelled of eau d'urine. She was whispering something and gradually increased the volume of her voice to the point where I realized she was calling me a bitch. Ah, the good old days.
